What do we do?

We support the coaches and the players.
The Football Parents Organization assists in raising funds to support the football program.

Some of the activities from Football Parents budget and effort include:

-A sack lunch for every player of every team at each away game.
-Team building dinners for Varsity Squad the evening before each game.
-Social and recognition events such as the Award Banquet, Senior Parents Dinner, Green and White Scrimmage & Family Potluck.
-Painting the 50 yard line and end zones.
-Equipment for the team. This seasons we provided transportation and hotel accommodations for a summer full of 7 on 7 tournaments and line competitions.

Football Mom

First annual Football Mom Clinic a success with the participants

Over a two night period, more than a dozen moms turned out to learn more about the game their sons play with such passion. On day 1, the moms were given a fairly detailed description of the field and officiating, much of which was presented by Mr. Jim Ledbetter, a certified official well-known in our community for clock management during varsity home games. Moms got to examine the equipment worn by their sons. Fortunately, the team has not suited up yet, so the equipment was still clean and fresh.

On the second night, the moms were taken down to the practice field and participated in offensive and defensive formations. They learned the terminology used by the offensive and defensive teams, and learned under what conditions a "cover two" would apply. They walked through actual plays, and quickly picked up on such nuances as back-side coverage on a sweep.

In all, it was a good learning experience for the moms. So when you see a woman in the stands wearing a t-shirt than says, "Sit Down! I know what I'm talking about!", there's a strong likelihood she knows more than the average fan.
